COLUMBUS – Oscar Gonzalez’s knocked in two runs in the seventh inning to give the Clippers a 6-5 come-from behind win over the Iowa Cubs in the finale of their series at Huntington Park Sunday afternoon.
A solo home run by Nick Martini in the top of the inning gave the Cubs a 5-4 lead but Gonzalez drove in Connor Marabel and Gabriel Arias with the tying and winning runs on a two-out bases-loaded single to right field.
Robert Broom (1-1) got the win in relief for Columbus and D.J. Johnson shut out the Cubs over the final 1 1/3 innings to get his sixth save of the season.
Dakota Mekkes took the loss for Iowa.
