Clippers 6, Indians 5

COLUMBUS – Erik Kratz drilled a three-run home run with two outs in the first inning to put the Clippers in front and they hung on for the 6-5 victory over the Indianapolis Indians at Huntington Park on Wednesday night.

Ronny Rodriguez appeared to put the game out of reach for the Clippers when he hit a two-run home run to left field in the bottom of the sixth inning. 6-2

The Indians scored three runs in the ninth inning but Tyler Olson retired the game’s final two batters to hold off the rally and earn his second save of the season.

Kyle Crockett (2-2) pitched only 1 1/3 innings but earned the win.

Drew Hutchison (4-4) allowed six runs and pitched into the sixth inning to take the loss.

The two teams wrap up the series Thursday night at 7:05 p.m.
