COLUMBUS – The Clippers got a productive night from the bottom of their batting order in a 6-3 win over the Mud Hens in Toledo Wednesday, their third win in five games against their cross-state rivals.

Michael Martinez and Brett Hayes, the final two hitters in the lineup who combined to go 5-for-8 at the plate, each scored in the seventh to extend the lead, then tacked on another run apiece in the ninth to salt the game away.
Toru Murata (6-4) pitched into the seventh inning, striking out six while giving up seven hits.
The series concludes Thursday night.
