Clippers 6, Red Sox 4 (10)

PAWTUCKET – The Clippers won their three-game series against the Pawtucket Red Sox, taking the finale Thursday, 6-4.

After Aneury Tavares stroked a game-tying solo home run with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Columbus scored two runs in the 10th without recording a hit. With Adam Rosales on second base per minor league baseball’s new extra innings rule, Drew Maggi bunted and the throw to third went awry, allowing Rosales to score for a 5-4 lead. Eric Haase’s sacrifice fly brought in Johnny Field, who had walked, to end the scoring.

The Clippers travel to Lehigh Valley Friday at 7:05 p.m.
