COLUMBUS – Jesus Aguilar hit a home run and racked up four RBIs in the first two innings as the Clippers again unleashed their offense early on to beat Durham 7-1 in a rain-shortened game Thursday night.
Columbus jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a two-run home run to left center field by Jesus Aguilar. The Clippers added four runs in the second on Aguilar’s two-run single and a two-run double by Lonnie Chisenhall.
The game was halted after 5-1/2 innings.
Michael Roth (6-2) pitched all five innings to get the win.
