COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers beat the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 7-4 Monday night, thanks to a five-run eighth inning.
Audy Ciriaco was the story of the night, going 3-for-4 with a homer and four RBI night.
Columbus took the series 3-1 with the win.
Columbus went into their half of the eighth= trailing 4-2, but rallied to tie the score before Ciriaco’s double scored Jesus Aguilar and Roberto Perez.
Nick Hagadone (3-4) recorded the final out of the seventh to become the pitcher of record and got the win. Ethan Martin (0-1) allowed five runs on four hits out of the bullpen in taking the loss. C.C. Lee was closed the game for his first save.
The Clippers travel to Buffalo to take on the Bisons at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday.
