COLUMBUS – Columbus starter Zach Plesac struck out six hitters during his seven innings on the mound as the Clippers beat Toledo 7-2 Thursday night to take two games of the three-game series between the International League West Division rivals.
Adam Rosales went 3-for-4, scoring three runs, while Bobby Bradley hit a two-run home run as part of a 12-hit attack by Columbus.
Rosales scored one of his runs on Bradley’s tie-breaking homer in the fifth inning and Mark Matthias added a solo shot to give the Clippers a 5-2 lead.
Tim Adleman (1-1) took the loss for the Mud hens.
The Clippers host Indianapolis for a four-game Memorial Day weekend series beginning Friday night.
