Clippers 8, Bats 5

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers rallied to beat the Louisville Bats 8-5 Tuesday night.

The win moved Columbus back into a first-place tie with Indianapolis in the International League West.

Every Clipper picked up a hit as they racked up 15 in the win.

Kyle Davies (6-7) got the win despite giving up four runs on 11 hits. Adam Russell (2-2) took the loss after allowing the go-ahead run in the seventh inning.

Nursing a 4-3 lead in the top of the seventh, the Bats intentionally walked Jesus Aguilar to load the bases. Russell hit Giovanny Urshela in the back to bring in Tyler Holt with the tying run. Carlos Moncrief then singled through the right side to score Francisco Lindor and gave the Clippers the lead.

Game three of the four-game series will start at 7:05 p.m. at Louisville Slugger Field Wednesday.
