Clippers 8, Indians

COLUMBUS – Trenton Brooks’s three-run home run capped the Clippers’ five-run first inning and Columbus went on to beat the Indianapolis Indians 8-3 Wednesday night at Huntington Park.

Richie Palcios started the scoring with an RBI triple off Indians starter Miguel Yajure (2-2) and scored on Will Brennan’s single before Brooks hit his shot to right center field.

Brooks drove in a total of five runs on a 2-for-4 night.

Nic Enright (2-0) got the win in relief.
