COLUMBUS – Trayce Thompson’s three-run home run highlighted the Clippers’ four-run second inning and led the way to an 8-2 win over Syracuse.
Columbus won two of three games at NBT Bank Stadium.
Brooks Pounders (2-1) got the win for the Clippers while Casey Coleman (0-4) gave up six runs in four innings and took the loss for the Mets.
The Clippers return to Huntington Park for a three-game series with Toledo starting Tuesday night.
