Clippers 9, Bats 8 (10)

COLUMBUS – The Clippers rallied in the bottom of the 9th to tie the score, then beat Louisville 9-8 in 10 innings Tuesday night at Huntington Park.

The Bats took a lead three-run lead into the 9th when right-hander J.J. Hoover blew his chance at a save by giving up three runs, two of them on an RBI single to right field by Yhoxian Medina, which sent the game to the 10th inning.

Columbus won it on a walk-off single by center fielder Yandy Diaz, scoring Ronny Rodriguez.

The three-game series in Columbus will wrap up at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday.
