Clippers 9, Bisons 6

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Will Brennan knocked in a tie-breaking run in the sixth inning and the Clippers went on to beat the Buffalo Bisons 9-6 at Sahlen Field Thursday.

After Columbus battled back from a 5-0 deficit to tie the score at 5-5 in the third, Brennan’s liner off the glove of shortstop Vinnie Capra brought Jose Fermin home with the go-ahead run.

Nick Enright (4-0) and three relievers combined to preserve the lead.

George Valera hit two home runs for the Clippers. Trenton Brooks and Nolan Jones added homers for Columbus.
