COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers exploded for seven runs in the fourth innings as they beat the Charlotte Knights 9-3 Wednesday night.
Tyler Holt singled home two runs and scored on a Zach Walters double as part of the offensive outburst, which was helped along by some defensive miscues by the Knights.
Tony Murato (3-1) got the win after giving up two runs in seven innings of work.
Columbus can earn a split of the four-game series in Charlotte with a win in tonight’s finale.
