COLUMBUS – Will Benson’s three-run home run in the seventh inning gave the Clippers a 5-3 win over the Nashville Sounds at Huntington Park Sunday to avoid a six-game series sweep.
Bo Naylor gave Columbus a 2-1 leaf with a two-run homer in the second before the Sounds went ahead on Brice Turang’s two-run double to right field.
Nick Mikolajchak (2-2) got the win in relief and Justin Garza notched his first save of the season.
