COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers broke out of their offensive slump Tuesday night, beating the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 6-1 at Huntington Park.
Going into the fourth inning, Columbus had scored one run in the previous 22 innings, but a rainbow appeared over downtown as the fourth inning got underway and the found six runs on six hits and a walk at the end of that rainbow.
Danny Salazar (4-6) allowed one run across seven innings and matched his season high with nine strikeouts. Jo-Jo Reyes (1-3) took the loss.
Game three of the series is Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
