Clippers hurlers are nearly perfect in win over Saints

COLUMBUS – Columbus pitchers faced only two more batters than the minimum as they combined to shut out the St. Paul Saints, 3-0, at Huntington Park Thursday night.

Starter Ben Krauth and three relievers struck out 11 hitters and allowed just one hit and gave up one walk.

Anthony Gose (3-0) was on the mound in the fifth inning and got credited with the win.
