COLUMBUS – The Clippers moved into a tie for first place in the International League West Division by beating division leader Indianapolis, 4-3, in the opening game of a three-game series at Victory Field Tuesday night.
Connor Marabell, who started the 10th inning on second base under a rule change in minor league baseball, scored the go-ahead run on a single to left by Adam Rosales and Evan Marshall retired all three batters he faced in the bottom of the inning to preserve the win for Josh Martin (4-0) and record his second save of the season.,
The Indians had tied up the score with three runs in the seventh.
Alex McRae (3-10), who gave up the hit to Rosales, took the loss for Indianapolis
