COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers completed a sweep of the Pawtucket Red Sox with a 4-1 win on Sunday, extending their Huntington Park-record winning streak to 10 games.
The Clippers’ unbeaten string at home stretches back to April 23.
Toru Murata (2-0) gave up four hits and struck out six in seven shutout innings on the mound for Columbus.
The damage was done in the bottom of the fifth, when the Clippers scored three runs. One of those was the first of two RB off the bat of Jerry Sands.
