Clippers rally to beat Lehigh Valley in 12 innings

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Clippers beat the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 3-2 in a 12-inning finale to their three-game series.

Columbus won two of the three games and have won eight of their last nine.

Dustin Molleken (2-0) no-hit the IronPigs in the 11th and 12th to pick up the win.

Tyler Holt stole third base and scored on a throwing error by pitcher Tyler Knigge in the top of the ninth to tie the score at 1-1. After Columbus took the lead on an Alex Lavisky home run in the 10th, Cord Phelps scored the tying run on a two-out line drive to Holt in center field in the bottom of the inning.

Holt brought Ryan Rohlinger home from third with the winning run on a soft ground ball to pitcher Hector Neris in the top of the 12th and Mollekin retired all three IronPig hitters in the bottom of the inning to preserve the win.

The Clippers begin a four-game series in Pawtucket Thursday night.
