COLUMBUS – The Clippers beat Indianapolis 2-1 Sunday in the rubber game of a two-day, three-game series at Huntington Park to take a one-game lead over the Indians atop the International League West standings heading into the All-Star break.
Columbus rallied in the 8th inning, tying the score on an RBI triple from Joey Butler and got the game-winning hit from Michael Choice in the ninth.
The two teams split a double-header on Saturday.
The AAA All-Star Game is set for Wednesday, in Charlotte, N.C. Columbus will be back in action on the road in Toledo Thursday.
