COLUMBUS – The Clippers won both games of a doubleheader over the Gwinnett Stripers Thursday night.
Columbus scored four runs in the sixth inning, highlighted by Jake Bauers’ two-run double, to take a 4-1 lead in the first game, a 5-2 win.
Severn Columbus pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts as the Clippers won win the nightcap 5-3.
Bauers went 2 for 4 in the second game with three more RBI, including a two-run home run in the fifth inning.
Columbus travels to Charlotte for a four-game series starting Friday.
