COLUMBUS, Ohio – Walk tall, men of Columbus. The city has made a list of the top 10 cities in the US with the most fashionably-dressed men.
According to a survey conducted by the matchmaking website SeekingMillionaire.com, Columbus ranked No. 9 on the list, right behind New York and ahead of Los Angeles.
The survey studied men’s retail spending habits and asked 13,110 women whether the men in their towns were well-dressed and came up with this Top 10 List of American Cities with the Most Fashionable Men:
1. Chicago
2. Boston
3. Austin, Texas
4. San Francisco
5. Hartford, Conn.
6. Savannah, Ga.
7. Providence, R.I.
8. New York City
9. Columbus, Ohio
10. Los Angeles
The survey also showed that men are spending more than women per item on designer clothing. A poll of 10,406 men showed that 87 percent of them spend 43 percent of their disposable income on clothing and accessories:
Shoes – 26%
Shirts — 22%
Pants — 19%
Accessories — 17%
Miscellaneous – 9%
Suits or Formal Wear – 7%
