COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two young Columbus girls who traveled to West Africa tested negative for the Ebola virus at a Columbus hospital Sunday.
Reportedly, the two girls were taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital where they were kept in isolation while awaiting test results from the Ohio Department of Health, which came back negative Sunday evening.
Both girls are being treated for influenza A and are being monitored, Columbus Public Health spokesman Jose Rodriguez said.
CPH continues to monitor all travelers from the four countries affected by the Ebola, for 21 days from their return from West Africa, Rodriguez said.
