Columbus man’s perfect bracket earns him VIP status

COLUMBUS – Gregg Nigl defied huge odds and picked every NCAA Tournament game correctly through the first two rounds.

The bracket was one of four Nigl filled out online this year.

The achievement has made a national celebrity out of the 40-year-old neuropsychologist from Columbus.

He’s been on most of the major network news shows, and now Buick is going to fly him and his nine-year-old son to Anaheim, Calif., to see their beloved Michigan Wolverines play Texas Tech in the next round.

Nigl and his fellow Michigan fans want this West Regional to end the same way it did in 2018 when Florida State defeated Gonzaga and the Wolverines knocked off the Seminoles in the Elite Eight to make the Final Four.
