Day’s assistants earning $7.4M

COLUMBUS (AP) — New Ohio State coach Ryan Day’s 10 assistant coaches together will make more than $7.4 million this year.

The contracts of the assistants were released by Ohio State.

Co-defensive coordinator Greg Mattison tops the list at $1.1 million.

Receivers coach Brian Hartline is the lowest paid at $345,000.

Day was hired in January to replace the retiring Urban Meyer.
