Death ruled a homicide

COLUMBUS – Police say an autopsy has determined that a man whose badly decomposed body was found in a home on the Hilltop last month was murdered.

Officers found the body of Gerald Goslin III, 32, in an “advanced state of decomposition” inside a home in the 400 block of Eureka Avenue on the morning of Aug. 28, police said.

The body was taken to the Franklin County Coroner’s Office where an autopsy determined that Goslin’s death was the result of a homicide.

No information about the cause of death was released and police did not name any suspects.

This was the 93rd homicide of 2020 in Columbus.

Anyone with any information on the incident is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 614-645-4730.
