COLUMBUS – Ohio’s health director is the latest coronavirus-related public figure to be immortalized in bobblehead form

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum Monday unveiled the bobblehead of Dr. Amy Acton, joining previously released bobbleheads of Gov. Mike DeWine and other governors and federal disease-fighters.

The bobbleheads are only available through the Milwaukee-based museum’s online store at $25 apiece, plus shipping, and will be available in July.

The museum is donating $5 from every bobblehead sold to the Protect The Heroes fund in support of the 100 Million Mask Challenge.

The museum has already raised over $175,000 through the sale of bobbleheads featuring Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, and White House coronavirus response coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx, as well as those of DeWine and three other governors.

On a base bearing her name, the bobblehead features Acton wearing a white lab coat and standing at a podium adorned with the state flag as she makes an announcement during a press briefing.
