MEDINA (AP) — Investigators say they are looking at all possibilities in the disappearance of a township trustee in northeast Ohio.
Medina County sheriff’s Detective James Cartwright tells the Beacon Journal of Akron that “everything” is a considered a crime scene as they try to locate Lafayette Township Trustee Bryon Macron.
Investigators say Macron left his home sometime early Friday. A township employee called the sheriff’s office at about 7:30 a.m. EST after finding Macron’s township office in shambles.
Macron’s SUV was found several hours later parked in a lot at Chippewa Lake, some three miles away.
The 45-year-old married father of three children served in the U.S. Marines and has been a trustee since 2010 in the township of more than 5,000 people.
