COLUMBUS – Authorities say the bodies of a man and woman found
partially dismembered and entombed in concrete beneath a West Side basement may be those of two people reported missing in 2018.
The remains were found Thursday during the execution of a search warrant on Jan. 14 at 2448 Sullivant Avenue, according to a release from the office of U.S. Attorney David DeVillers.
Federal, state and local authorities are investigating whether the bodies are connected to an August 2018 missing persons report concerning Henry Clay Watson and Tera Lynn Pennington, DeVillers said.
The families of the missing persons have been notified and DeVillers says investigators are working to verify their identities.
Authorities are asking that anyone with information call the federal Homeland Security Investigations tip line at 866-DHS-2423.
Homeland Security Investigations, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Columbus Division of Police, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Franklin County Coroner’s Office and the Columbus Fire Department are participating in the investigation.
No other details were released Friday.
