COLUMBUS, Ohio – A 36-year-old Columbus man was scheduled to appear in court Friday morning on charges he raped a 13-year-old girl who was waiting for a school bus on the Northeast Side.
The Columbus Dispatch reports that Antonio Fillmore was charged with two counts of rape Thursday. Columbus police say he forced a girl waiting for a bus on Myrtle Avenue Tuesday behind a vacant house, where he allegedly raped her.
Police say DNA evidence taken from the crime scene matched a sample taken from Fillmore from a previous case. The newspaper reports he was sentenced to three years in prison for assault in 1998 and to six months for drug trafficking in 2006.
Fillmore was in the Franklin County jail and it wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.
