“Do or die” for CBJ

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Fans camped out in the Arena District overnight, hoping to snatch up the last remaining ticket to tonight’s Game 6 of the Blue Jackets’ NHL Eastern Conference playoff series with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The game starts at 7:00 p.m./FOX Sports Ohio).

The Jackets have their backs against the wall while the Penguins will be looking for a knockout punch after their best game of the series, a 3-1 home win on Saturday night.

Columbus, which had never won a playoff game before this season, has twice rallied to stun the heavily favored Penguins. Pittsburgh finally broke through against goalie Sergei Bobrovsky with an onslaught of 51 shots, 48 of which “Bob” turned away. They dominated most of the last 50 minutes while snuffing the Blue Jackets’ offense.

Boone Jenner scored the lone goal for Columbus, which was playing the first Game 5 in franchise history.

When the teams square off Monday night in Game 6, the Metropolitan Division champions will try to carry over their recent play.

Columbus, which has trailed 1-0 and 2-1 in the series, will be hoping for another series-tying win on home ice.
