COLUMBUS – Gas prices in Ohio continued their steady decline, starting the week at an average price of $2.05 a gallon.
Although that price is a penny higher than a week ago, a daily survey from the auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX, Inc., shows that the price had declined 9 cents in the last month, thanks to a steady output from refineries serving the Great Lakes region and a healthy inventory.
The average price in Columbus was $2.08, 8 cents higher than last Monday, but has fallen by nearly a quarter a gallon since Oct. 10.
The price in central Ohio is 12 cents cheaper than it was one year ago.
The national average price of $2.21 a gallon, nearly unchanged from the prices one week and one month ago.
