COLUMBUS – A Franklinton man has been charged with disrupting service and vandalism after throwing a rock through the windshield of a COTA bus, injuring the driver.
A man police say witnesses identified as Marcaus Greeno (above) blocked the intersection of McKinley Avenue and Yale Avenue at about 7:40 Tuesday evening, according to assault unit Det. Matthew Grasham.
An eastbound Central Ohio Transit Authority stopped as Greeno, 27, refused to get out of the way and threw a large rock through the windshield of the bus, Grasham said. Glass fragments were scattered throughout the interior of the bus and some got into the driver’s eyes of the driver.
Greeno fled the scene but was arrested by responding officers, Grasham said.
The driver was treated at the scene and the bus was taken out of service.
Greeno was charged with disrupting public services and vehicular vandalism, both felonies, Grasham said.
