COLUMBUS – A man arrested in Toledo for a murder on the East Side of Columbus last month is in the Franklin County Jail.
Rodney Leeper, whose last known address was the streets of Columbus, was charged on Sept. 15 with murder in the shooting death of Anthony Sowell Jr., Det. Jeff Brandt of the Homicide Unit said.
Leeper, 19, was arrested in Toledo by the U.S. Marshals Service on Oct. 1, Brandt said.
Police said Sowell had been shot several times during a street fight in the area of 726 S. Napoleon Avenue late on the report of a shooting late on the night of Sept. 14.
