COLUMBUS – Columbus police are looking for a teen suspect in a deadly shooting on the East Side Wednesday night.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Keith Waddell, 16, in connection with the shooting death of Nelson Conley, Jr., Sgt. Edward Powell III of the Columbus police homicide unit said.
Conley, 18, was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in the 1000 Block of Ellsworth Avenue at approximately 10:57 a.m. by officers investigating a reported shooting and was pronounced dead at the scene.
This was the 67th homicide in Columbus in 2022, Powell said.
