Elderly victim dies a year after being shot

COLUMBUS – A 63-year-old Northeast Side woman has died more than a year after she was shot during a home invasion robbery.

Columbus police still are seeking leads to the Dec. 18, 2014, shooting of Pamela Sue Estridge, who was pronounced dead the night of Dec. 23 at Kettering Medical Center near Dayton. Investigators cited injuries from the original incident as the cause.

Other details weren’t available immediately, but police at the time of the shooting last year reported she sustained life-threatening wounds and wasn’t expected to survive.

Police said they found the door of Stonehenge Drive apartment open and Estridge lying inside. They said witnesses saw two or more men wearing ski masks and bandannas flee the scene.
