The Party on the Parkway — from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday – will mark the ceremonial opening of the east-west connector which city officials say will be vital next year when the construction of the I-270/U.S. 33 interchange and a roundabout at Riverside Drive and state Route 161 are going on.

Green search lights will illuminate the 5.6-mile stretch of roadway Monday morning and evening

Emerald Parkway is a 5.6-mile-long roadway that parallels I-270. There are 1.5 million square feet of commercial development along the connector, home to 12 of Dublin’s top 50 companies, which generate $17 million annually in income taxes. The final section opens up another 115 acres to commercial development.
