Organizers say local veterinarians will be on hand to provide a microchip clinic, the Dublin police K-9 Unit will demonstrate their skills and training, agility groups and canine assistance programs will demonstrate what their dogs can do. A number of pet-related vendors will be showcasing their products and services.

The event also includes a parade and several contests for dogs and humans.

The purpose of the pet fair is to raise awareness and funds for area animal rescues and animal shelters while providing an event that is educational and entertaining.

The fair, organized by Dublin Pet Fair Charities, Inc., is non-profit and money raised from a raffle, bake sale and refreshments are donated to the attending rescues and advocacy groups.
