Family may know something about Rhoden killings

COLUMBUS – State and local authorities are asking for information about four former residents of southern Ohio as part of their investigation into the unsolved slaying of eight family members in Pike County last year.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine and Pike County Sheriff Charles Reader are seeking details on personal or business interactions and conversations, possibly regarding vehicles, firearms and ammunition, with the four members of the Wagner family, who once lived near the victims, who were shot, execution-style, inside their homes.

The four were named as George “Billy” Wagner III and his wife, Angela, both 46, and their sons George Wagner IV, 25, and Edward “Jake” Wagner, 24.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Bureau of Criminal Identification tip line at 1-855-BCI-OHIO (224-6446) or the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 740-947-2111. Any information provided will remain confidential and a $10,000 reward is still in effect.

None is identified as suspects.

The Wagners lived on Peterson Road in Peebles but are currently believed to be living in Alaska.

Jake Wagner and Angela Wagner told the Cincinnati Enquirer earlier this month they were not involved in the April 2016 killings.
