COLUMBUS – A 27-year-old Canal Winchester man was killed in a single-car accident on East Side early Monday morning.
Columbus accident investigators say Sean Elliott, of Galston Court in Canal Winchester, lost control of his Ford Mustang while eastbound on I-70 shortly after 3:00 a.m. The car struck the median retaining wall south of the exit ramp to Alum Creek Drive, veered to the right and re-crossed all four eastbound lanes before going off the right side of the freeway and coming to rest in a grassy area.
Police say Elliot was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident closed the freeway for several hours.
