COLUMBUS, Ohio – Festival Latino returns to downtown Columbus this weekend.

Along with musical acts on two stages and about two dozen food vendors, the festival will feature showcases for Latino artists and writers, a children’s activity areas and a marketplace offering jewelry, arts, crafts, and a variety of other traditional items from Latin America.

A Health & Wellness Area, presented by the Ohio Commission on Minority Health, will offer bilingual information on a variety of health and social services from organizations such as the Central Ohio Diabetes Association, Mt. Carmel Health System, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Our Lady of Guadalupe Center at Catholic Social Services, St. Vincent Family Center and OSHA.

The 14-piece merengue orchestra Los Hermanos Rosario is the Sunday headliner at 6:30 p.m. at Festival Latino.

Due to construction in Genoa Park, the festival will shift across the Scioto River to Bicentennial Park Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The following streets will close from noon Friday until 6:00 a.m.:

W. Town/W. Rich Street (The Rich Street Bridge) will close between Civic Center Drive and Belle Street
Washington Boulevard will close between W. Broad Street and Belle Street
Civic Center Drive will close between W. Rich Street and W. Main Street
W. Main Street will close between Civic Center Drive and South Civic Center Drive
