COLUMBUS – A man was killed early Saturday morning in a fiery crash in Mifflin Township.

A 2006 silver Honda Civic driven by Mohamud Abdikadir, 31, of Columbus, was southbound on State Route 3 north of Ferris Road at approximately 4:57 a.m. when the car left the roadway to the left and traveled across a grassy area, striking trees and the stone wall at the entrance to the Walnut Creek subdivision where it caught fire, Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said.
Sheriff’s deputies, along with fire and police personnel from Mifflin Township, responded to the scene and the fire was put out.
Baldwin says Abdikadir, who was the lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Their identity is pending notification of next of kin.
