COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the fourth and final weekend, the Ohio Department of Transportation is shutting down the stretch of I-670 through the Short North and Arena District.
This time, ODOT will close the eastbound lanes of I-670 from I-70 on the West Side to 4th Street for pavement repairs and resurfacing. This is the second and final time that I-670 east will have to close for much needed repairs.
Completely closing part of the freeway for a whole weekend is more time efficient than working each night on a small section of pavement, a process which could take months, ODOT spokeswoman Nancy Burton said.

All lanes and ramps are scheduled to be reopened by 5:00 a.m. Monday, Burton said.
Here’s how traffic will be impacted:
FRIDAY:
8:30 p.m. – I-70 E/B reduced to two lanes between Fisher Rd. and I-670.|
9:00 p.m. – I -670 E/B will close and all traffic will be routed to I-70 east to I-71 north to I-670 east.
The following ramps will be closed:
