COLUMBUS – Sports fans in general, and Buckeye fans in particular, are expected to begin flocking to Urban Meyer’s Pint House, a new bar/restaurant opening Sept. 27 at Dublin’s Bridge Park
The 8,000-square-foot features plenty of TV’s, beer and food and will be open Friday afternoon, in time for after-work get-togethers and for the Buckeyes’ football game at Nebraska Saturday night (7:30 p.m./ABC).
The restaurant is a partnership between the former Ohio State football coach and Corso Ventures includes Meyer’s personal project, his 7-0 Room, which contains trophies and memorabilia and provides space for approximately 50-60 guests, featuring a private bar and which will be available for fundraisers and special events starting September 30.
The bar offers more than 50 beer selections, including “7-0,” a Kolsch-style beer developed in partnership with Land Grant Brewing. Commemorative 22-oz. “Coach Urban Meyer Stadium Cups” are available and a new beverage has been developed, which is described as a punch served in copper bowl that honors Meyer’s wife, Shelley’s, fondness for flamingos. Sales of the punch will support the Urban and Shelley Meyer Foundation.
Menu items include favorites from other Corso ventures, such as linguini and clams, from Forno, billed as Meyer’s “personal favorite;” hot chicken from Standard Hall, and Skillet Mac and Cheese and signature pizzas from Pint House.
A brunch menu, which includes items like chicken and waffles and a “build-your-own Bloody Mary bar,” will open the weekend of Oct. 4-6
A selection of homemade desserts includes Buckeye Cheesecake.
