Franklin Co. judges will preside over Valentine’s Day weddings

COLUMBUS – For anyone who wants to tie the knot on Valentine’s Day, the judges of the Franklin County Municipal Court are ready to oblige.

The judges will conduct wedding ceremonies on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in courtroom 14A, on the 14th floor of the Municipal Courthouse, 375 S. High Street.

Brides and grooms should schedule their appointment online at the Court’s website.

Walk-ins are welcome, but court officials say they may experience a wait.

They are asked to limit wedding party participants as COVID-19 protocols will be in place.

A $25 filing fee that must be paid prior to the ceremony at the Municipal Court Clerk cashier’s window located on the third floor. Cash, money order, check, cashier’s check and credit card payments will be accepted.

Parties are required to have their marriage license with them. The licenses can be obtained in advance at the Franklin County Probate Court, 373 S. High Street, 23rd floor Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
