COLUMBUS – Franklin County health officials say they witnessed an alarming spike in suspected drug overdose.

Franklin County Public Health said Sunday there were 32 suspected overdoses within a 24-hour span.
The agency is urging anyone who uses drugs and their friends and family members to take steps to protect health by having naloxone on hand, using fentanyl test strips, and not using alone.
Anyone who witnesses or experiences a suspected overdose should call 9-1-1 immediately.
