Gas price falls again

COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the second week in a row, gas prices in central Ohio have dropped, following an extended run of increases.

After gas prices steadily increased in February and at the beginning of the month, analysts expect prices will continue to fall the rest of March and April.

That is 29 cents cheaper than the price on March 2, but 33 cents higher than the priced on January 26, before five straight weeks of increases.

The statewide average of $2.21is 12 cents less than a week ago and $1.45 cheaper than last year at this time.

Ohio prices were well below the national average, which was $2.42 per gallon Monday. That’s down 3 cents from last week and $1.10 less than a year ago.
