COLUMBUS, Ohio – Gas prices were back up again as the work week began in Ohio, but analysts say the increase is just a market correction and local prices were below the national average.
A gallon of regular gas was averaging $3.28 in Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s 16 cents more than a week ago, but 6 cents lower than last month at this time.
The Ohio average of 3.29 is 10 cents higher than a week ago, but still slightly lower than the national average, which was $3.34 on Monday, identical to last week’s average price.
The low prices central Ohio motorists enjoyed last Monday were unusually low and prices by the end of the week had aligned more with the rest of the nation.
