COLUMBUS – The 2015 Gay Softball World Series is underway at Berliner Park on the South Side.
The 39th edition of the event features 185 teams competing in six days of games and some associated events, including a charity benefit Wednesday night at the Hyatt Regency and a Closing Block party on Saturday in the Short North Arts District.
The event is expected to draw approximately 10,000 players, coaches and fans and pump $6 million into the Columbus economy.
