HEATH, Ohio – Construction is underway in Licking County on a European company’s first U.S. factory.
Local leaders and executives with Xperion broke ground yesterday on its new facility in Heath.
The German-based company will build compressed natural gas tanks for use in cars and trucks, creating nearly 60 new jobs.
The company says the 50,000-square-foot facility will house its first U.S. manufacturing and sales operation.
The $6.3 million total investment will include the addition of 59 jobs over the next three years, representing $2 million in new wages in the community.
